We are seeking a motivated Operational Training Manager to oversee the development, implementation, and management of comprehensive training programs for employees across the organization. As an integral member of our team, you will be responsible for assessing training needs, designing curriculum, and coordinating training sessions to ensure employees have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.

The successful candidate will collaborate closely with department heads to align training initiatives with corporate goals, evaluate the effectiveness of training programs, and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.

This role involves:

  • Designing Training Programs: Identify and address training needs to create tailored programs aligned with company objectives.
  • Delivering Training: Organize in-person workshops, online courses, and other learning methods for our teams.
  • Leading Teams: Provide guidance and support to site training teams.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with project department heads to ensure that training programs meet the organization's evolving needs.
  • Evaluating Programs: Assess the effectiveness of training programs through feedback, assessments, and performance metrics and make necessary adjustments.
  • Ensuring Compliance: Ensure training programs comply with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards in Canada.
  • Continuous Improvement: Keep updated on industry trends and best practices in training and use innovative approaches to enhance training effectiveness.

To excel in this role, you will require:

  • 5-10 years of underground mining experience.
  • Train-the-trainer certification (considered an asset).
  • A diploma or certificate in adult education will be considered an asset.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement training programs.
  • Excellent technical writing ability.
  • Willingness to travel to remote job site locations.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per annum, commensurate with experience, plus benefits and opportunities for professional growth and development.
