Job Summary

The Summer Engineering Intern is a key role within Ferrovial's infrastructure management team, responsible for supporting the collection and analysis of asset data, working closely with subcontractors, and contributing to the cost control of various projects and road maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Culvert inspections and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Quality control of line painting operations to maintain high-quality road surfaces
  • Data entry and management to support project tracking and reporting
  • Assisting with other duties as assigned by the project team

Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; currently enrolled in an engineering program or equivalent
  • Valid Ontario Class 'G' driver's license and a clean driving record
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new software applications
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, with regular exposure to varying weather conditions
  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and maintain a safe working environment
  • Ability to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
