Job Summary
The Summer Engineering Intern will be responsible for collecting asset data, working with subcontractors, and assisting with cost control of various projects and road maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Culvert Inspections and Quality Control
- Line Painting Quality Control and Data Entry
- Assisting with Project Management and Road Maintenance
- Performing Other Duties as Assigned
Requirements and Qualifications
- Knowledge of Road Construction and Maintenance Methods
- Ability to Identify, Troubleshoot, and Resolve Practical Problems
- Effective Communication and Report Writing Skills
- Knowledge of Environmental and Regulatory Requirements
- Ability to Multitask and Meet Deadlines
- Strong Computer Skills and Ability to Travel
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Currently Enrolled in an Engineering Program or Equivalent
- Valid Ontario Class 'G' Driver's License
- Ability to Maintain a Clear Driver's License and Adhere to Company Policies
Work Conditions and Physical Demands
- Ability to Perform Physical Tasks such as Reaching, Bending, and Climbing
- Ability to Work in Indoor and Outdoor Environments
- Ability to Wear Required Personal Protective Equipment
- Ability to Work in Noisy or Fast-Paced Environments
