About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced ICT Systems Designer to join our growing team at Stantec. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing various ICT systems based on industry standards and best practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Design ICT systems for the built environment, including pathway drawings, low voltage device and telecommunications outlet plan drawings, systems single line drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Technical Support: Provide in-depth technical support for qualified Stantec opportunities and technical services delivery for Stantec clients.
  • Proposal Preparation: Prepare proposals and cost estimates for ICT projects.
  • Project Management: Deliver and perform ICT Project Management activities such as pre-engagement & post-engagement site visits, customer discovery meetings, on-site assessments, onsite reports, deliverables review, and other field activities as required.
  • Team Leadership: Serve as technical resource lead to subordinate Field Engineers and others in the assigned work group. Provide technical advice, guidance, training, and input to the review and evaluation of performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in electrical engineering along with a minimum of eight (8) years' relevant experience related to ICT.
  • Technical Skills: Thorough knowledge of and familiarity with Canadian electrical standards and codes, TIA/BICSI standards & best practices, and experience using Revit.
  • Soft Skills: Good interpersonal skills required for internal team interfaces, excellent verbal communication and technical writing skills required.
