Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Aerospace Operations Manager to join our team at Top Aces. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily activities of our flight maintenance technicians and engineers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute daily work schedules to ensure efficient maintenance operations.
  • Resolve material, tooling, and engineering issues that affect maintenance plans.
  • Estimate and define planned repairs, and assign and direct the work of maintenance personnel.
  • Provide on-site training and coaching to maintenance personnel to ensure they have the necessary skills to perform their duties.
  • Ensure adherence to airworthiness and safety policies, processes, and standards.
  • Ensure work safety standards are complied with, and aircraft and related maintenance records are complete.
  • Exercise ownership of your area of responsibility and ensure a safe and tidy workplace.
Requirements
  • Minimum three years of experience in flight and maintenance operations.
  • Leadership skills and the ability to lead a team in a diversified and changing high-tempo environment.
  • Positive, professional attitude, and the ability to identify and resolve issues proactively with minimal supervision.
  • Hold a valid Transport Canada M2 license, an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of RAMCO, an asset.
  • Proven track record of supporting and leading safe operations: OHS, Flight Safety, procedures, Human Factors, etc.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communicator who disseminates and obtains information with discretion, professionalism, and diplomacy.
  • Computer literate, Microsoft, and email applications.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize competing demands.
  • Positive, professional attitude, and the ability to take initiative and be a self-starter.
  • Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to perform all work in support of our Corporate Values of Excellence, Service, Integrity, and Together.
Working Conditions
  • Travel is required for the position.
  • International travel may also be required in this role.
  • The ability to work flexible work schedules according to flight operations.
Supervisory, Training, and Advisory Responsibilities
  • Supervising, approving timesheets, and vacation requests for Aircraft Maintenance Technicians and Aircraft Maintenance Engineers.
Occupational Health and Safety Responsibilities
  • Providing information, training, instruction, and supervision to protect the Occupational Health and Safety of Employees.
  • Ensuring Employees under their direction know and comply with Occupational Health and Safety requirements.
  • Ensuring Employees under their direction receive adequate supervision.
Security Clearance Requirements/CGP/ITAR
  • Position requires II Clearance with the Canadian Government and the ability to gain access to the Canadian Controlled Goods Program.
