Aerospace NDT Inspector

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a skilled Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician to join our team in supporting the Canadian CF-18 Fighter aircraft Program. As an NDT Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and integrity of the aircraft through the performance of non-destructive testing inspections.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct scheduled and unscheduled NDT inspections on aircraft components and report results to the Supervisor.
- Document non-conformities according to established procedures and draft inspection reports and Work Orders accurately.
- Maintain a high standard of workmanship and discipline as detailed in CFTOs.
- Perform regular inspection and maintenance of shop equipment to ensure serviceability.
- Observe and adhere to all safety regulations in the performance of duties, ensuring absolute compliance with radiation safety policies and procedures.
- College diploma in aeronautics or equivalent.
- CGSB certification.
- Possess and demonstrate Level II skills in the following NDT inspection testing methods: Liquid Penetrant, Eddy Current, Magnetic Particle, X-Ray, and Ultrasound.
- Very good knowledge of CF-18 structure and drawings.
- Knowledge of Canadian Forces aircraft maintenance operation.
- Be conversant with CFTOs and other technical information pertaining to NDT inspection procedures.
- Ability to work independently, with minimal direction or as part of a team.
- Ability to present ideas/solutions to peers, technical staff, customers, and supervisors.
