About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled Visual Effects Artist to join our team at Electronic Arts Inc. and contribute to the development of our next AAA title using Unreal Engine 5.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with Lead Artists, Designers, and Engineering teams to create high-quality real-time visual effects, including particle systems, meshes, shaders, textures, rigid body simulations, and animations.
  • Design and implement FX assets using EA's proprietary game engine, adhering to the agreed design and hardware/software constraints.
  • Manage In-Game Particle Effects for action-adventure games, encompassing weapon and vehicle FX, environmental, destruction, and other effects.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in the industry, with a focus on shipping high-quality console games.
  • Proficiency in 2D packages like Photoshop, After Effects, or Nuke, as well as 3D packages like Max or Maya.
  • Strong knowledge of environmental effects, lighting, and dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well in a team and communicate with other disciplines.
  • Organizational skills for task management, file organization, and storage.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of Frostbite and experience with Unity Visual Graph Editor or Unreal Niagara.
  • Experience with Substance.
