We are seeking a talented Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Docbraces Waterloo in Waterloo, ON. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and support in an enthusiastic and personalized manner.

As a Dental Hygiene Specialist, you will be responsible for providing optimal hygiene treatment to patients, ensuring their comprehensive oral health needs are met. Your expertise will be invaluable in helping patients achieve their goals for a healthy, beautiful smile.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient care and support in an enthusiastic and personalized manner.
  • Ensure patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and their goals for comprehensive oral health.
  • Collect patient dental and medical history to reference during examinations.
  • Prepare patients for the Orthodontist and prepare equipment for X-Rays.
  • Take X-Rays and follow all safety procedures as required.
  • Examine gums for infections or gum disease and clean patient teeth to remove plaque, polish, floss, and brush.
  • Bonding and removal of brackets and orthodontic appliances, placing and removing arch wires.
  • Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits and treatment progress.
  • Update patient records and examination notes.
  • Perform lab duties and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
  • Call patients for aftercare and answer questions.
  • Travel to satellite locations as needed.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and work cohesively with fellow team members.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years' experience as a Dental Hygienist preferred but not required.
  • Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
  • Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within the province, in good standing.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Great time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in an orthodontic office preferred but not required.
  • Current CPR and First Aid training.
