Exciting Opportunity for a Registered Dental Hygienist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Dawson Dental in Waterloo, ON. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and service experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Providing patient care and support in an enthusiastic way, building a personal connection at every visit
  • Ensuring that patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and their goal for comprehensive oral health
  • Desire to help, educate and improve our patients' lives
  • Collecting patient's dental and relevant medical history, to reference during examinations
  • Taking X-Rays and following all safety procedures as required
  • Examining gums for infections or gum disease
  • Educating patients on good oral hygiene habits and treatment progress
  • Updating patient records and examination notes
  • Performing all lab duties/requirements as required
  • Preparing and maintaining all dental instruments, supplies and equipment
  • Calling patients for aftercare and answering any questions
  • Maintaining a positive attitude and working cohesively with fellow team members to provide an atmosphere of trust, respect, and cooperation
  • Possessing great energy for a fast-paced environment
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Hygiene Degree program
  • Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within province, in good standing
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; written and verbal, an ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease
  • Great time management and organizational skills
  • Current CPR and First Aid training

From $45.00 per hour
