About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Geologist to join our Mineral Resource team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will provide technical services on advanced exploration projects, demonstrating expertise in mineral resource evaluation and interacting with related disciplines.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Executing and reviewing technical work on mineral resource estimation, including wireframing, block model estimation, database management, and quality control of data collection (QAQC) on FEL 1 projects.
  • Supporting advanced exploration projects (phase 4, FEL1) by providing technical, economical, and risk evaluations to support future investment decisions on projects.
  • Defining the appropriate drilling program for advanced projects.
  • Supporting technical work on mineral resource estimation on FEL 2 and FEL 3 projects, as required.
  • Performing technical Due Diligences for mineral deposits and mine acquisitions to evaluate mineral resources and associated risks, as required.
  • Assisting the project manager in ensuring that projects meet scope, schedule, and budget requirements.
  • Providing training and mentoring to less experienced personnel within the group, as required.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • An undergraduate degree in mining or geology.
  • P.Geo or P. Eng is required.
  • A minimum of 11 years of relevant mineral resourcing experience.

You will also need to demonstrate:

  • Strong abilities with mine design and working experience with Geostatistic Software.
  • Sensitivity to environmental requirements.
  • Good initiative, attention to detail, and ability to multi-task in a multidisciplinary environment.
