This is a senior leadership position within the Commercial Banking division of National Bank. As a Senior Commercial Banking Director, you will be responsible for growing the portfolio of business clients assigned to you.
Your Key Responsibilities- Business Development: Identify and develop business opportunities in your market, increase your commercial client base, and establish business development strategies.
- Client Advisory: Help your clients attain their business objectives by proposing financial strategies based on the most suitable combination of Bank products and services.
- Financial Solutions: Meet clients' changing needs by adapting and optimizing financial products and advice/approaches.
- Agreement Negotiation: Negotiate the terms and conditions of agreements with clients, while making sure that they meet risk management standards and profitability criteria.
- Business Planning: Draw up business development plans.
- Team Collaboration: Assist the Regional Vice-President in reaching objectives, work with the Manager – Financing Solutions, and actively participate in various networking activities.
- Interdepartmental Collaboration: Work in synergy with all the other departments of the Bank.
You will join a team of professionals that supports business clients within the Commercial Banking and Private Banking sector. You will be surrounded by an ecosystem of specialists, like financing solutions managers, who will help you offer the solutions that best suit our clients' needs.
Reporting to Regional Vice-President, you will manage a portfolio of clients covering the GTA region. Our training programs use on-the-job learning to help you master your role. You can access personalized training content on such topics as banking solutions and the advisory approach to support your ongoing learning.
Prerequisites- At least 5 to 9 years' experience in sales and business development within the financial industry.
- University certificate and 9 years' experience.
- Bachelor's degree and 7 years' experience.
- Master's degree and 5 years' experience.
- Experience in sales and business development.
- Experience in analysis of financial statements.
- Experience in commercial credit.
- A network of professional contacts among local medium-sized enterprises and large companies, an asset.
