Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Count Room Attendant to join our team at Casino Nova Scotia. As a key member of our cash handling team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and security of our cash and chip handling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove cash boxes from slot machines and ensure they are securely stored
  • Transfer cash and chips to the count room area with a security escort
  • Empty cash boxes and table game drop boxes, and transfer assets to the proper department
  • Participate in the physical count of all currency from the casino floor
  • Load and balance NRT self-redemption units and perform other drops as assigned
  • Verify bank receipts and ensure processing of all drops is completed efficiently and accurately
  • Develop and maintain healthy working relationships with colleagues and management
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety regulations, and other statutory requirements
Requirements
  • Embracing the Casino Nova Scotia culture and philosophy, with a focus on providing outstanding entertainment experiences
  • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent education
  • Excellent mathematical skills, including efficient and accurate counting and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and communicate effectively with colleagues and management
  • Strong observation skills and ability to grasp concepts quickly
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs at times and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Schedule flexibility and ability to work varied shifts
