Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Count Room Attendant to join our team at Casino Nova Scotia. As a key member of our count room team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and security of our cash handling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove cash boxes from slot machines and ensure they are transferred to the count room area with a security escort
  • Empties cash boxes and table game drop boxes, and transfers assets to the proper department using proper procedures and attention
  • Participate in the physical count of all currency from the casino floor, and balance NRT self-redemption units and perform other drops as assigned
  • Verify bank receipts and ensure processing of all drops is completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with policies and procedures
  • Exemplify GEM customer service skills and create Great Experiences and Memories
  • Develop and cultivate healthy working relationships with team members and other departments
  • Ensure compliance with licensing laws, health and safety, and other statutory regulations
Requirements
  • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent is required
  • Excellent mathematical skills, including efficient and accurate counting and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Strong observation skills and ability to grasp concepts quickly
  • Solid interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs at times
  • Schedule flexibility is required
  • Completion of Count Room training is required
