Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Count Room Attendant to join our team at Casino Nova Scotia. As a key member of our Cage team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and security of our cash handling processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Remove cash boxes from slot machines and ensure they are transferred to the count room area with a security escort
  • Empty cash boxes and table game drop boxes, and transfer assets to the proper department using proper procedures and attention to detail
  • Participate in the physical count of all currency from the casino floor, and verify bank receipts
  • Load and balance NRT self-redemption units, and perform other drops as assigned
  • Ensure all drop processing is completed efficiently, accurately, and in accordance with policies and procedures
Requirements
  • Minimum grade 12 or equivalent is required
  • Excellent mathematical skills, including efficient and accurate counting and attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Strong observation skills and ability to grasp concepts quickly
  • Must have solid interpersonal and communication skills, including active listening skills
  • Required to lift up to 25lbs at times
  • Schedule flexibility is required
