The RoleWe are seeking a skilled Lab Technician/Patient Care Coordinator to join our team at KMH Cardiology Centres Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting physician practices and facilitating patient intake through timely, high-quality, and efficient administrative care.
Key Responsibilities:- Patient Intake and Coordination of daily clinic operations
- Management of Physician orders and utilization of Tableau to facilitate KPI attainment
- Meet and achieve established KPIs and tasks management including Chart Checks and Report Uploads
- Perform ECG, Holter, and Blood Pressure Monitor hook-ups as needed
- Respond to patient inquiries on a timely basis and missed appointment follow-up
- Inform and educate patients about tests and procedures as requested by physician
- Process prescription renewal requests as directed by physician in collaboration with administrative staff
- Optimize clinic capacity and foster a collegial, respectful clinic environment
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure best patient experience and outcomes
- Graduate of an approved Laboratory Assistant program or equivalent
- Lab Technician certification (preferred)
- Medical administration experience (1 year preferred)
- Proven ability to work proficiently in a busy, fast-paced specialist clinic environment
- Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to multitask, establish priorities, and achieve objectives with minimal supervision
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Superior telephone etiquette and conflict resolution skills
- Proficiency in technology, including MS Office and EMR systems experience
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to deal with sensitive information with a high degree of diplomacy
