Job Summary

We're seeking an Executive Chef to join our team at the Highwayman Pub in Abbotsford, BC. This is a full-time position that requires strong culinary skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook meals in a timely manner while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Safely and efficiently operate kitchen equipment and appliances.
  • Maintain a clean work environment and follow all sanitation procedures.
  • Manage inventory, including accurate tracking of food and supplies.
  • Develop and implement menu plans to meet customer demands and business goals.
  • Lead a team of cooks and kitchen staff to achieve optimal productivity and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Strong knowledge of proper food handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Previous experience as a head chef or sous chef in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Able to work in a physically demanding environment and lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software.
