Job Title: Janitor Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Janitor Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleaning operations, ensuring that our facilities are maintained to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire and Train Cleaning Staff: Recruit, train, and develop a team of cleaning professionals to ensure that our facilities are cleaned to the highest standards.
  • Supervise and Coordinate Cleaning Activities: Oversee the daily cleaning operations, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Inspect Facilities: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that our facilities meet our high standards for cleanliness and safety.
  • Recommend Additional Services: Identify areas where additional services may be required, such as painting, repairs, or equipment replacement.
  • Assist Cleaning Staff: Provide support and guidance to cleaning staff as needed.
Requirements:
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Workplace Information: This is an on-the-road job, requiring frequent travel to various locations.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Assist in the integration of newcomers and refugees into our organization, including providing access to community resources, language training, and skills training.
  • Recruitment: Recruit newcomers and refugees who have been displaced by conflict or natural disaster.
  • Credential Recognition: Support newcomers and refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and refugees with experienced employees.
  • Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
Support for Indigenous People:
  • Mentorship and Coaching: Offer mentorship, coaching, and networking opportunities for Indigenous workers.
  • Relationships with Indigenous Communities: Develop and maintain relationships with Indigenous communities, Indigenous-owned businesses, and organizations.
  • Cultural Competency Training: Provide cultural competency training and awareness training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.
  • Elder Support: Facilitate access to Elders who can offer support and guidance to Indigenous workers.
Support for Visible Minorities:
  • Hiring Policies: Apply hiring policies that discourage discrimination against members of visible minorities.
  • Mentorship Programs: Offer mentorship programs that pair members of visible minorities with experienced employees.
  • Diversity and Cross-Cultural Training: Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for members of visible minorities.
