About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned Health and Safety (HSE) professional to spearhead the transformation of our HSE culture at our Laval location. As an Health and Safety Transformation Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our safety protocols, procedures, and practices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective HSE strategies, ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate directives.
  • Leverage your expertise to create engaging HSE training programs, educating staff on best practices and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and deliver comprehensive HSE communications and presentations.
  • Investigate incidents, identifying root causes, proposing corrective actions, and tracking follow-ups.
  • Conduct risk assessments, recommending mitigation measures, and promoting safe work practices.
  • Participate in Health and Safety committees, providing guidance and expertise.
  • Compile reports, statistics, and performance metrics on HSE initiatives.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A minimum 5-10 years of relevant experience in HSE or a related field.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related discipline.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, self-control, tact, diplomacy, teamwork, and collaborative spirit.
  • Autonomy and attention to detail.
  • Bilingualism (English and French, written and spoken).
