Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join Kiewit's Eastern Canada District as a Construction Safety Professional. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement health and safety programs at the project level to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze and interpret occupational illness and accident statistical data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Recommend process and product safety features to reduce employee exposure to hazards.
  • Routinely monitor the workforce for unsafe behaviors and provide coaching to employees.
  • Develop a paperwork management system to track training records and safety initiatives.
Requirements
  • Technical or Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, Health Safety, NCSO, or a related field of study.
  • Familiarity with construction terminology is an asset.
  • Working knowledge of the Occupational Health and Safety Legislation.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, fluent in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in a variety of locations across Canada, including isolated areas requiring travel and camp accommodations.
  • Highly motivated, with a demonstrated passion for safety excellence and taking initiative.

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this position is between $70,000 and $100,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
