About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Construction Safety Specialist to join our team in Eastern Canada. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our projects.

Job Summary

The Construction Safety Specialist will be responsible for working closely with project teams to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, as well as developing and implementing safety programs to minimize risks and promote a safe working environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Work with project teams to develop and implement comprehensive safety plans
  • Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety protocols and provide coaching and training as needed
  • Compile and analyze data on occupational illnesses and accidents to identify trends and areas for improvement
  • Recommend process and product safety features to reduce employee exposure to hazards
  • Develop and maintain paperwork management systems to track training records and other safety-related documentation

Requirements and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A technical or bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Safety, or a related field
  • Familiarity with construction terminology and relevant legislation
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • A willingness to travel and relocate as business requires

Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Relocation assistance may be available.
