Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate individual to facilitate our Men's Support Group. As a facilitator, you will play a vital role in creating a safe and supportive environment for individuals to share their experiences and connect with others who have faced similar challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and lead in-person peer support groups for men living with mental health illnesses
  • Develop and maintain a safe and supportive group environment
  • Encourage open and honest sharing among group members
  • Provide guidance and support to group members as needed
  • Collaborate with other volunteers and staff to ensure the success of the program

Requirements:

  • English language proficiency
  • Lived or working experience with mental health
  • Organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Well-developed listening skills
  • Knowledge of peer support or mental wellness (asset - training will be provided)

Time Commitment: Evening

The volunteer shift for facilitating the Men's in-person peer support group is every Thursday from 5:30pm-6:30pm.
