Job Title: Truck Driver - Over the Road
Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team at Get Go Transportation Inc. As a Truck Driver, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials across the country, ensuring timely delivery and maintaining a safe and secure environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy to transport goods and materials
- Load and unload goods, ensuring proper handling and storage
- Obtain special permits and documents required for international routes
- Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks, maintaining a safe and secure environment
- Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, ensuring vehicle condition and equipment are in good working order
- Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo
- Transport and handle dangerous goods, following strict regulations and guidelines
Requirements:
- Team player with excellent communication skills
- Will train, with a focus on developing skills and knowledge
- Permanent employment, with a regular schedule of 50-60 hours per week
- English language proficiency, with a focus on clear and concise communication
