Landscape Worker Job Description

XCEL Landscape Services Inc. is seeking a skilled Landscape Worker to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining the beauty and functionality of our outdoor spaces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with landscape constructions, including planting, pruning, and trimming trees and plants.
  • Tie and secure plants, ensuring they are properly anchored and secure.
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their health and appearance.
  • Cut grass and other vegetation to maintain a neat and tidy appearance.
  • Rake and collect refuse, including leaves and other debris.
  • Remove litter and garbage from outdoor spaces.
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed.
  • Lay sod or seed to maintain healthy and vibrant lawns.
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance the beauty of our outdoor spaces.
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth.
  • Dig cemetery graves, requiring attention to detail and physical stamina.
  • Repair and maintain equipment, ensuring it is in good working condition.
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens, ensuring they receive the necessary care.
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment, including mowers, trimmers, and other tools.
  • Plant and move trees, requiring physical strength and attention to detail.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
  • Repetitive tasks, including physical labor and manual dexterity.
  • Physically demanding work, requiring stamina and endurance.
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking, with frequent changes in position.
  • Standing for extended periods, requiring attention to posture and comfort.
  • Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision.
