Job Overview

The Director of AML Technology plays a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and usability of critical software applications at Scotiabank.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a team of application developers and technical staff, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Act as the Technical Value Stream owner, providing an end-to-end central point of contact for all AML Technology services.
  • Manage relationships with third-party vendors and service providers to ensure high-quality services and support for applications.
  • Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders on application performance, incident resolution, and ongoing support.
Accountabilities
  • Deliver high-quality, scalable applications that meet business expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant Bank Enterprise and Security standards.
  • Maintain a technology roadmap for each application domain, aligned to Enterprise Architecture Standards.
  • Resolve incidents and issues escalated from Level 1-2 Application Operations Services.
Requirements
  • 10 years of experience in software development.
  • At least 5 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading application development teams.
  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies, frameworks, and best practices.
