About the Role:

Mackenzie Investments is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantitative Associate Vice President to join its Multi-Asset Strategies Team.

As a key member of this successful investment team, you will be responsible for contributing to quantitative analysis of equity portfolios and enhancing existing portfolio modeling, management, and monitoring systems.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Support Portfolio Managers and Investment Analysts in the development of stock selection models for global large cap and small cap portfolios, as well as specific asset-selection models.
  • Monitor research and events in the quantitative investment field to gain insights that can enhance portfolio returns and risk management.
  • Present quantitative portfolio analysis and investment ideas to Portfolio Managers.
  • Create presentation documentation and quantitative analytic reports for Portfolio Managers.
  • Perform ad hoc research and portfolio-related project work.
  • Enhance existing daily investment processes.

Requirements:

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in a quantitative discipline (such as Computer Science, Economics, Engineering, Finance, Mathematics, or Physics).
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years of relevant experience in the Financial Services industry, with asset management experience preferred.
  • Exceptional quantitative skills, including programming, data analytics, and model-building, as well as solid mathematical reasoning/understanding.
  • The ability to demonstrate self-motivation and work independently.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work constructively and collaborate with others.
  • Advanced knowledge of programming in a Statistical Language/Libraries, especially Python.
  • Advanced Knowledge of Portfolio optimization/construction.
  • Strong Knowledge of FactSet is an asset.
  • CFA designation or progress towards such is an asset.
  • Masters/PhD degree is an asset.

Compensation Package:

We offer a competitive compensation package, including an estimated annual salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 based on experience and qualifications.
