Job Summary

Saskatchewan Polytechnic is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Office Assistant. In this role, you will provide exceptional customer service and administrative support to our clients and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to our clients and staff, including preparing and distributing documents, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Assist in the coordination of workshops and events, including booking facilities, arranging catering, and coordinating with instructors and students.
  • Enter, maintain, and update student data into our database, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Maintain electronic and hard copy filing systems, ensuring that all documents are up-to-date and easily accessible.
  • Coordinate the ordering and maintenance of office supplies, ensuring that our team has the necessary resources to perform their duties.
  • Troubleshoot issues with instructors or clients on training days, providing timely and effective solutions.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 plus a recognized office administration certificate/diploma or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
  • Minimum one year recent and relevant experience performing administrative and clerical work.
  • Training and/or experience at the intermediate level in the use of common software packages, i.e. MS Office Suite.
  • Knowledge of common office procedures and protocols.
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently under generalized supervision.
  • Demonstrates valuing diversity and inclusivity.
