About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Building Science Technologist to join our team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). As a key member of our Building Science team, you will be responsible for conducting building and property condition assessments, capital planning, and reviewing existing buildings and structures to determine design and remedial work options.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough building and property condition assessments to identify design and remedial work options.
  • Develop and implement capital planning strategies to ensure the long-term sustainability of buildings.
  • Review and analyze existing building systems, including roofing, exterior cladding, and fenestrations, to identify areas for improvement.
  • Conduct invasive building assessments and testing to determine the condition of building components.
  • Develop detailed reports and recommendations for building owners and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that building science solutions are integrated into project plans.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in building science.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Building Science, or a related field.
  • Professional certification in building science or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in building science or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of building codes, standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
