Key Responsibilities:
  • Production Planning and Scheduling: Review incoming purchase orders, plan production schedules, and ensure on-time delivery.
  • Plant Operations Management: Conduct daily production huddles, establish priorities, and monitor progress.
  • Cost Reduction and Efficiency Improvement: Develop and implement plans to reduce costs, waste, and improve cycle time, on-time delivery, and labor utilization.
  • Process Integration and Commercialization: Integrate new products, processes, and equipment into the plant.
  • Tooling and Equipment Management: Ensure tooling is available for all incoming orders and add new equipment as necessary to increase capacity.
  • Communication and Coordination: Communicate available plant loading to ensure full utilization of available capacity and coordinate with teams.
  • Quality and Safety Management: Ensure adherence to ISO 9001, CSA N299 procedures, and support the improvement of the system and quality results.
  • Team Supervision and Development: Supervise and manage production teams, provide training, and coordinate requalification of team members.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure production materials, supplies, and consumables are ordered and delivered as required.
  • Equipment Maintenance and Safety: Ensure safe operation of equipment by following manufacturer's instructions and completing preventive maintenance requirements.
Requirements:
  • Education: Technologist or Technician in Electronics
  • Experience: Minimum 11 years of related experience, with experience in cable manufacturing being a must
  • Skills: Strong leadership, supervisory, and communication skills, with extensive knowledge of production and safety management, occupational health and safety, and employment standards legislation
  • Knowledge: ISO 9001/AS9100D/CSA N299.2/3/4 quality systems, World Class manufacturing techniques, and IPC J-STD-001, IPC/WHMA-A-620, and/or NASA-STD
  • ESD Awareness: ESD awareness with respect to ANSI/ESD S20.20
