About the Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Clerk to join our team at Little Wonders Child Development Centre Ltd. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for performing various financial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll accurately and efficiently.
  • Determine fixed assets and depreciation values in accordance with established accounting principles.
  • Manage financial records, including establishing, maintaining, and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of general ledgers and financial statements.
  • Prepare statistical, financial, and accounting reports as required by management.
  • Verify the trial balance of books to ensure consistency and accuracy.
Requirements:
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in an accounting or bookkeeping role is preferred.
Working Conditions:

This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week. The work environment is fast-paced, and attention to detail is essential. You must be able to meet tight deadlines and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive financial information.

The salary for this position is approximately $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience. This figure is based on industry standards and location factors.
