About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Communications Specialist to join our team at Jeune Chambre de commerce de Montréal. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective communication strategies to promote our organization's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Communication Strategies
    • Design and execute communication plans to engage stakeholders and promote our organization's activities
    • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including media, government officials, and community leaders
  • Public Relations and Media Relations
    • Develop and maintain a positive media image for our organization
    • Respond to media inquiries and pitch stories to local and national media outlets
  • Content Creation
    • Develop and edit written content, including press releases, media advisories, and social media posts
    • Design and develop visual content, including graphics, videos, and infographics
  • Event Planning and Execution
    • Plan and execute events, including conferences, workshops, and networking receptions
    • Coordinate logistics, including venue selection, catering, and audiovisual equipment
  • Team Management
    • Supervise and mentor junior team members
    • Provide guidance and support to ensure successful project execution
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, or a related field
  • Experience
    • 2-3 years of experience in communications, public relations, or a related field
  • Skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong media relations and public speaking skills
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite
