About the Role

Prairie Mountain Health is seeking 2 family physician(s) or internists to join the Hospitalist group at Brandon Regional Health Centre. The successful candidates will be responsible for caring for patients presenting to the hospital requiring inpatient admission who do not have a physician with admitting privileges.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all care including work-up, appropriate referrals, planning discharge, and liaising with the community primary care provider.
  • Work collaboratively with the healthcare team to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of hospital policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Eligibility for licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba.
  • Membership in good standing with the Canadian Medical Protective Association and coverage in the appropriate category.
  • CCFP or FRCPC required.
  • Experience managing hospitalized patients.

Remuneration is in accordance with the agreement between the Minister of Health and Doctors Manitoba.

Partnership with the University of Manitoba and the Rady Faculty of Medicine for teaching and mentoring opportunities.

Brandon Regional Health Centre is a satellite campus for the University of Manitoba and the Rady Faculty of Medicine, offering opportunities to contribute to the teaching/mentoring of medical learners.

We are a fully accredited multi-specialty facility and are currently undergoing a $110 million expansion of our inpatient care facilities, expected to be completed by 2025.
