Senior Financial Analyst Job Description

About the Role:

The Senior Financial Analyst will apply financial knowledge and analytical skills to prepare budgets, complete analytical assignments, and design performance metric reports. The Analyst will work in a team environment to ensure that department Directors/Managers have the information they need to achieve operational targets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor expenses and provide cost control support
  • Ensure compliance with spending policies
  • Recommend cost savings strategies
  • Prepare budgets and financial reports

Requirements:

  • Canadian professional accounting designation (i.e., CPA, CA, CGA, CMA) and a membership in good standing
  • A minimum of 3 years recent, related experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a large retail environment with multi-million-dollar annual sales
  • Experience in the beverage alcohol industry/supply chain or wholesale/retail operations
