Senior Manager of Consumer Engagement Software Development

Estimated Salary$150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will be responsible for planning, releasing, and scheduling development tasks, working closely with Product Management to determine scope and ensure that features meet requirements. They will also provide estimates and initial assessments for proposed development tasks, track and report progress against key milestones, and keep feature stakeholders updated on project status.
In addition, the Senior Manager will coordinate cross-functionally across various teams/organizations, both internal and external, driving product development efforts. They will manage the team's backlog, triaging new tickets, ensuring the quality of requirements and acceptance criteria meets company guidelines.
The ideal candidate will have experience as a software development manager or a software team leader in an Agile development environment, with a deep understanding of production environments for a team's applications, technology, and collaborators. They will also be able to capture requirements and write high-quality acceptance criteria, and have experience leading a team of creators who focus on building core technology features.
The Senior Manager will also be responsible for sourcing, interviewing, and closing technology candidates, updating and improving the software development onboarding process and documentation, and creating a continuous performance culture to establish growth and development of team members.
Required Skills and Qualifications- 7+ years of industry experience, with a degree in Computer Science or equivalent
- Experience working in a global SaaS organization, including understanding of architectural concepts
- Past experience as a developer, with a deep understanding of production environments for a team's applications, technology, and collaborators
- Excellent people management skills, including experience with appraisals, objective setting, and hiring and growing a talented team of engineers
