We are seeking a highly skilled Intermediate Hydrogeologist to join our team at SRK Consulting, an international firm of specialist consultants focusing on the mining industry.

Job Description

This role involves working as part of multi-disciplinary teams on various projects, including greenfield and brownfield sites from exploration to operations and mine closure. You will perform tasks such as field work planning and implementation, drill supervision, hydrogeological instrumentation installation and operation in deep environments (>250m), and data analysis and interpretation.

You will interact closely with hydrogeology and other discipline team members and have a role in managing tasks and junior staff to achieve project goals and timelines. The successful candidate will prepare reports and presentations for internal or external audiences and contribute to engineering designs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A minimum of an undergraduate degree in geology, geological/civil engineering, or physical geography, with emphasis on geology, hydrogeology, hydrology, environmental engineering, or geotechnical disciplines.
  • At least five years of experience in one or more of the disciplines listed above, preferably in the mining industry.
  • Self-motivated and able to work both as part of multi-disciplinary teams and independently.
  • Strong writing and communication skills.
  • Able to work on site independently with long hours in the field and variable weather conditions.
  • Experience with installation and operation of deep (>250m) groundwater instrumentation.
