The Environmental Group at Morrison Hershfield focuses on minimizing adverse project environmental effects, contributing to a sustainable future for generations to come. We specialize in environmental planning, assessment, natural sciences, regulatory approvals, impact studies, monitoring, solid waste management, transit planning, renewable energy, hydrogeology, and environmental site assessment.

With over 40 years of experience in delivering complex transportation infrastructure projects, we possess extensive expertise in advisory, design, construction oversight, and environmental planning services. Our AFP/P3 footprint across Canada has successfully delivered numerous projects for clients nationwide.

We seek an experienced Environmental Assessment Lead to join our Canadian environmental team based in Vancouver. This role offers opportunities for growth and professional development as we continue to expand our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing and prospective clients
  • Pursue opportunities to support projects
  • Manage environmental assessments and permitting
  • Lead consultation with regulatory agencies
  • Review technical reports
  • Prepare proposals
  • Direct internal technical teams and subject matter experts

Requirements:

  • University degree in Environmental Studies/Biology/Engineering or related field
  • Minimum 10 years of directly related experience
  • Prior experience assessing environmental impacts on renewable power projects
  • Excellent knowledge of provincial, territorial, and federal environmental assessment legislation
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to prepare comprehensive reports and plans
  • Knowledge of sustainability and climate change mitigation

Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $95,000 - $120,000 depending on qualifications and location.

This role involves working collaboratively with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive project success. As a key member of our environmental team, you will contribute to the company's growth and mission.
