Job Title: Development Review Engineering Assistant or Technologist

Burnside & Associates Limited is seeking a highly skilled Development Review Engineering Assistant or Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will assist in reviewing development applications and designs on behalf of municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Review engineering designs for compliance with municipal design standards, guidelines, and civil engineering standards
  • Assist in preparing agreements for subdivision, site plan, pre-servicing, and site alteration
  • Review and respond to concerns from the general public regarding development issues
  • Perform edits and updates on CAD drawings and in GIS
Requirements:
  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology
  • ~ 5 years of engineering experience in land development design and construction
  • ~ Working knowledge of CAD and GIS an asset
  • ~ Understanding of the development process, municipal and provincial approval process, and all other relevant regulations and standards
