Development Review Engineering Specialist

Burnside & Associates Limited is seeking a highly skilled Development Review Engineering Assistant or Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for reviewing development applications and designs on behalf of municipal clients.
Key Responsibilities- Review engineering designs for compliance with municipal design standards, guidelines, and civil engineering standards.
- Participate in field reviews and construction inspections in support of regular inspection team members.
- Prepare agreements for subdivision, site plan, pre-servicing, and site alteration.
- Review and respond to concerns from the general public regarding development issues.
- Perform edits and updates on CAD drawings and in GIS.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
- ~2-5 years of engineering experience in land development design and construction.
- ~Working knowledge of CAD and GIS an asset.
- ~Understanding of the development process, municipal and provincial approval process, and all other relevant regulations and standards.
