Job Title: Truck Driver

Arrow Transportation Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled Truck Driver to join our team in Fort St. James, BC.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Class 1 driver to haul wood fibre locally in B train trailers. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of safe practices, regulatory compliance, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee cargo handling and secure loads, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform pre and post trip inspections on equipment operated, ensuring roadworthiness and regulatory compliance.
  • Comply with applicable legislation, including safe operation, load securement, driver's hours of service, and occupational health and safety.
  • Record and maintain relevant paperwork, including bills of lading and documentation.
  • Operate equipment such as truck cab computers, 2-way radios, and telephones to exchange necessary information with bases, dispatch, supervisors, or other drivers.
  • Complete electronic logs of working hours and vehicle service and repair status.
Requirements:
  • Class 1 truck driver's license.
  • A minimum of 1 year of Class 1 driving experience is preferred.
  • B train experience is an asset.
  • Mountain driving experience is an asset.
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
  • A positive attitude.
  • Driver's abstract with no suspensions.
  • At least two job references.
