A Roadway Maintenance Inspector I role is available at the City of Edmonton. The ideal candidate will ensure quality and compliance of contracted work, contributing to the maintenance and enhancement of our City's infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and monitor contracted work related to snow and ice control, snow removal, street cleaning, concrete sidewalk elevation, and other maintenance activities
- Monitor contractors to ensure adherence to specifications and City of Edmonton standards
- Document inspections and address any deficient work
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 3 years experience in roadway maintenance and operational activities
Preferred Qualifications
- Inspection and/or crew supervision experience
- Experience in a municipal or public sector environment
Key Skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to implement and ensure compliance with City policies and procedures
- Ability to solve problems and make independent decisions
Working Conditions
- Fieldwork involves exposure to various weather conditions, including extreme temperatures, precipitation, and other environmental factors
- Exposure to hazards such as noise, dust, and traffic
