Job Summary

Paddy's Oneil's is seeking a skilled Cook to join our team. As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as ensuring the highest standards of food quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning: Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization.
  • Cooking and Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
  • Kitchen Management: Supervise kitchen staff and helpers, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment, and ensure the cleanliness of the kitchen and work areas.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, and order supplies and equipment as needed.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Restaurant environment with a focus on customer satisfaction and quality food production.
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to maintain high standards of food quality and safety.
  • Repetitive Tasks: Ability to perform repetitive tasks with a high level of accuracy and efficiency.
  • Work Term: Permanent position with a regular schedule of 32.5 hours per week.
  • Work Language: English language proficiency.
