Finance Co-Op Student Opportunity

Trans Mountain Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Co-Op Student to join our team in Calgary. As a Finance Co-Op Student, you will have the opportunity to work with a progressive and fast-paced group in the Finance department.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Participate in the annual budget and quarterly forecasting cycle, including attending review meetings and preparing monthly reports.
  • Develop reports and compile analyses to support the company's overall 2026 budget document.
  • Assist with year-end financial statement audit, including compilation of audit samples and preparation of working papers.
  • Support the financial reporting team with preparation of internal control reviews and participating in control walk-throughs.
  • Participate in the insurance renewal process, including collection and review of underwriting information and preparation for market meetings.
  • Assist the Fixed Asset team with capital project close-outs, including review of close-out documentation to ensure completeness.
  • Compile credit reports for annual shipper credit review.
  • Support vendor onboarding and other master data tasks.
  • Prepare monthly account reconciliations.
  • Support the tax group with preparation of tax filing worksheets and assisting with GST analytics.
Qualifications and Professional Experience:
  • Currently working towards a post-secondary institute degree in a relevant program (Accounting or Finance preferred).
  • Office 365 experience required.
  • Enrollment in your institution's co-op program is a requirement.
