About Mount Royal University's Department of Accounting and Finance

We are seeking experienced instructors in Finance to contribute to our dynamic team. We offer a range of teaching opportunities across various finance disciplines, catering to both undergraduate and graduate students.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging course content through face-to-face or online instruction, fostering a stimulating learning environment for students.
  • Develop comprehensive course outlines and lessons that align with the latest industry standards and academic best practices.
  • Create diverse assessments, including quizzes and exams, to effectively evaluate student understanding and progress.
  • Maintain and update course materials on our learning management system (D2L), ensuring accessibility and clarity for all students.
  • Provide dedicated office hours and actively participate in course meetings, fostering open communication and support for students.

Qualifications:

  • A Master's degree in Finance or a closely related field is essential.
  • Professional designations such as CFA or CFP are highly valued and demonstrate your commitment to excellence in the field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant professional experience will provide you with practical insights to enrich your teaching.
  • A proven track record of delivering exceptional instruction and a passion for sharing your knowledge with students is crucial.
  • Strong interpersonal and presentation skills are essential for effective communication and student engagement.
