Job Title: Field Truck and Transport Technician

We are seeking a skilled Field Heavy Duty Mechanic to join our team at our Peterbilt Dealership in Regina. This role involves the repair and maintenance of Truck & Trailer based equipment and attachments in a field environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate and diagnose the working condition of equipment, and perform repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Use secondary materials and equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Operate related instruments, hand and power tools, secondary equipment, and computer systems.
  • Accurately document all machine information, actions taken, and time taken on work orders.
  • Assess service task hazards and ensure work is performed safely and to accepted standards.
  • Use computer applications and information systems to document maintenance, inspection, and diagnosis.
  • Locate and order parts from parts personnel using parts catalogues.
  • Road test equipment and check attachment operation as required.
Requirements:
  • Certified Journeyperson in the Truck and Transport technician trade or equivalent designated trade.
  • Experience in CAT, CUMMINs and PACCAR engines is considered an asset.
  • Experience with electrical diagnosis /troubleshooting and aftertreatment systems is considered an asset.
  • Previous mechanical experience in a shop environment is considered an asset.
  • Must be registered in the 310T trade.
  • Commitment to customer service and service excellence.
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with customers, the service team and branch personnel.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
