Pipe Coater-Painter

We are seeking a skilled Pipe Coater-Painter to join our team at Ideal Coatings & Fabrication Ltd. As a key member of our coating team, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to pipes and other metal products.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Prepare Work Area: Ensure the work area is clean and free from debris to prevent contamination and ensure a smooth coating process.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Maintain an accurate inventory of coating materials and supplies to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Apply Protective Coatings: Use micrometers, callipers, and other devices to ensure the proper thickness of plating, and apply coatings using automated spray painting or hand-held spray guns.
- Maintain Equipment: Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and prevent downtime.
- Prepare and Mix Metallizing Solutions: Prepare and mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications to ensure the desired coating properties.
- Select and Apply Paint: Select the appropriate paint or mix paints to achieve the desired color and finish.
- Tend and Operate Equipment: Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for application of protective or decorative coatings.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required, but relevant training and experience are essential.
- Experience: Willingness to train and learn new skills is a must.
- Work Site Environment: Ability to work at heights, in confined spaces, and in a dusty, hot, and noisy environment.
- Certificates and Licenses: First Aid Certificate is required.
- Physical Capabilities: Ability to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
