We are seeking a highly skilled Pipe Coater-Painter to join our team at Ideal Coatings & Fabrication Ltd. As a key member of our coating team, you will be responsible for applying protective and decorative coatings to metal products.
Key Responsibilities- Clean and Prepare Work Area: Ensure a safe and clean working environment by cleaning and organizing the workspace, and maintaining inventory.
- Apply Coatings: Use micrometers, callipers, or other devices to check the proper thickness of plating, and apply coatings using paint brushes or automated spray painting equipment.
- Maintain Equipment: Clean and maintain equipment to ensure optimal performance and extend its lifespan.
- Prepare Metallizing Solutions: Mix metallizing solutions according to formulas or specifications to ensure the correct application of coatings.
- Select and Apply Coatings: Select the appropriate paint or mix paints to achieve the desired finish, and apply coatings to metal products.
- Operate Equipment: Tend or operate equipment to prepare items for coating, and spray or coat metal products.
- Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required for this role.
- Work Site Environment: Be prepared to work at heights, in confined spaces, in dusty, hot, and noisy environments.
- Physical Capabilities: Be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and handle heavy loads up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
