Overview:

The Senior Electronic Trading Manager will be responsible for managing and running the electronic trading platform at TD Bank. This role will play a critical part in driving the growth and profitability of our eFX business.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Electronic Risk Management: Manage the electronic risk book to ensure optimal risk management and minimize potential losses.
  2. Data Analytics: Perform data analytics to gain insights into profitability and performance of the eFX business, identifying areas for improvement and opportunities for growth.
  3. Business Development: Collaborate with the business and quant teams to develop new analytics tools and strategies to drive business growth and increase profitability.
  4. Platform Maintenance: Work with the technical support team to resolve any potential issues with the eFX trading platform, ensuring seamless execution of trades.
  5. Client Onboarding: Coordinate with internal teams to onboard new clients and implement new business initiatives, ensuring a smooth and efficient process.
  6. Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between the electronic FX desk and the broader FX business, including sales, trading, technology, risk management groups, and compliance, to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  7. Dynamic Role: This is a dynamic role, and responsibilities will be commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

  1. Dedicated Work Ethic: Demonstrate a dedicated work ethic and strong team player skills.
  2. Technical Expertise: Possess 3+ years of eFX trading experience and a strong understanding of FX market microstructure, with technical skills in Python programming and kdb/q experience an asset.
  3. Business Analysis Skills: Demonstrate strong business analysis skills, problem-solving skills, and initiative.
  4. Self-Starter: Be a self-starter, motivated towards improving and developing the business.
  5. Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  6. Attention to Detail: Pay attention to detail and work well under pressure, with the ability to multi-task.
  7. Travel: Some travel may be required for this role (maximum 5% of time on an annual basis).

Education: A technical degree is preferred (engineering, computer science, statistics, or related degree).
