Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our Bach-Simpson division, responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining electronic equipment for trains. As a member of our monitoring team, you will report to the Products Line Manager and be responsible for the design, commissioning, and technical support of Transit and Locomotive electrical, instrumentation, and automation systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electronic circuits, schematics, and PCBs for various rail applications
  • Collaborate with other engineers to bring new products from prototype to production
  • Perform technical work, including reviewing specifications, project documentation, circuit design, and testing
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards via testing and certification processes
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including BOMs, test instructions, and assembly instructions
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a closely related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in circuit design, with a strong portfolio of successful projects
  • Proficient in electronic design software, including Altium Designer and OrCAD
  • Experience with microcontrollers, embedded systems, firmware integration, and communication protocols
  • Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and communication skills
