Caregiver Specialist

About the Role:
Axis Family Resources Ltd. is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Specialized Caregiver to join our team. As a Specialized Caregiver, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals living in our Specialized Supportive Housing. Your primary responsibility will be to provide a safe and nurturing environment that promotes the physical, emotional, and social well-being of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily living support and assistance with personal care needs
- Develop and maintain healthy relationships with clients through a trauma-informed practice
- Encourage and support clients in achieving their goals and aspirations
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support
Requirements:
- Certificate or diploma in Community Services, Health Care Aid, Human Services, or related field
- Minimum 1-2 years' experience in social services or a combination of education and experience
- Related experience working with vulnerable populations or behavioral challenges
- Reliable transportation and valid BC driver's license
- Knowledge of complex trauma, Autism, FASD, ODD, or other neurobiological conditions
- Clear Criminal Record Check
