About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to join our team at Ainsworth in Montreal. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and repair of our properties, ensuring that they are safe, efficient, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of maintenance technicians and ensure that they have the necessary tools and resources to perform their duties.
  • Conduct regular inspections of our properties to identify potential maintenance issues and develop plans to address them.
  • Manage maintenance budgets and ensure that expenses are within approved limits.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure that our properties are well-maintained and that equipment is properly serviced.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure that maintenance services are provided in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure that all maintenance activities are conducted in accordance with safety protocols and regulations.
  • Develop and implement training programs to ensure that maintenance technicians have the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties.
  • Monitor and report on maintenance activities and provide recommendations for improvement.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance supervision or a related field.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing maintenance teams and budgets.
  • Strong knowledge of maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in a related field an asset.
