CB Canada is seeking a highly skilled Financial Compliance Examiner to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for conducting complex on-site examinations of member operations, identifying areas of risk, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct thorough examinations of member operations, including financial and operational procedures, to identify areas of risk and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement examination plans, including risk assessments and testing procedures, to ensure effective examination of member operations.
- Interview key personnel to gather information and assess the effectiveness of internal controls.
- Document examination findings and recommendations, including areas of risk and non-compliance.
- Supervise junior examiners to ensure that examination procedures are followed and that results are accurate and reliable.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in audit or risk management, preferably in the financial services industry.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards, including IFRS and Canadian auditing standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and assess areas of risk.
- Bilingualism (English and French) is an asset.
